Sekure D x Kidrobot Codename Unknown Army release
It is no secret to anybody that I am a collector of toys, without getting too in depth a big part of my career to date is based around holding onto the values and memories of my childhood and retaining the love of the things I had and wanting to be a part of making them even better in the future. My association with Kidrobot begun in 2012 officially when I travelled to the USA to do some signings and appearances in their San Francisco and NYC stores as well as at New York Comic Con.
Fast forward to today and we have worked together to produce an entire Codename Unknown Army available exclusively through Kidrobot stores and Kidrobot.com. In total I created 18 custom pieces on their MUNNYWORLD platforms and they have been distributed between their stores with two pieces being available this Thursday (USA) on their website. The MUNNY is undeniably my favorite platform in this blank universe of silhouettes and was the base for most of my work but I also included is a few TRIKKY customs.
All 18 pieces have received the full Codename Unknown treatment with special reinforcements coming from the Coral and Rock divisions of the Allegiance.
WHO IS THE CODENAME UNKNOWN ARMY?
The year is 2322 and the robots, no longer reliant on their solar heart panels have taken over the world, exterminating all but a few humans. After a century spent completing their foremost objective they are now left, bereft of meaning; a regrettable shortcoming of Artificial Intelligence.
Seeking something greater the ‘Codename Unknown’ Robotic Allegiance has turned to the daily activities of humans to fulfill their needs while striving to eradicate their new found enemy, the Blobs, a thriving life form created from the toxic sludge emitted by the Codename Unknown prototypes.
New armies have been constructed from parts previously discarded in their underground and underwater boneyards to help fight the Blobs and stop them from destroying the earth.
I couldn’t be happier with this release, it represents an evolution of my style and my biggest collection of vinyl to date, I hope you guys all like them as much as I do!
