Donatello AF1

This year is the 30th Anniversary of the Ninja Turtles, I know, does that make you feel old too? Well I have been a huge fan since I was little and remember seeing a couple of the movies at a local cinema and to this day still watch the first one on the regular. Anyways fast forward to an awesome couple and a rad out of the box commission and we get right here to these Donatello AF1s.

I know I say all the time I am happy with a custom or really like how they turned out but these are sweet, it wasn’t easy handing them over to their new owner. I tried to incorporate all the elements of what made a Ninja Turtle so identifiable and they were obviously the green skin, their shell, chest-plate and then their specific weapon and color. I managed to incorporate all these elements into the design and keep if from looking cluttered which is often tricky when trying to fit so many elements into a sneaker.

I really couldn’t be happier with these and knowing how excited their owner is and that they have gone to a great home makes it even better!
