Chuck 70 Graffiti

70s-Graffiti-1

What’s happening everyone? I hope all of you that got an Easter long weekend this past few days enjoyed a great break. I managed to take a day off, finally, and watch some movies, relax and recharge which was awesome but now I am of course right back into it!

I am all about Chuck 70s at the moment and when these white leather joints dropped I instantly knew they were perfect for a custom. I was inspired by the amazing 2006 Nike Safari Air Max 90s and their great use of brown and blue which is a pretty slept on colourway.

To bring this colourway to life I use my abstract graffiti print over the entire upper of the sneaker, a more bold use of this print than I usually apply but I am pretty stoked with the outcome. Overall painting Chucks is often a little trickier than painting a regular sneaker because of how the upper flexes and the shoes need to be stuffed to make it stand straight but the outcome makes the tiny bit of extra work worthwhile.
