Hi everyone! I have had a pair of Monarchs sitting under my studio table for quite a while and I finally came up with a concept for them which I was really excited about. While scrolling through the Monarch customs that have already gone before me I noticed a trend, most were based on existing sneakers. For example, Diamond Monarchs etc. So this got me thinking, I did not want to do someone else’s design, but I too have collaborations, so why not be a bit cheeky and just do my own theme?!
I present to you, the Mace Monarch, a custom pair of Monarchs dedicated to my very first sneaker collaboration, the Globe Mace Hi. This was so much fun to make, I designed these sneakers originally 12 years ago and I have not even painted this splash pattern for, id say, at least 5 years. The chunky shape of this shoe was perfect to bring this theme to life again and with the dyed tongue/lining I couldn’t be happier with how it looks.
